TUPY's continuously cast iron bar, sold in Brazil as FUCO® and internationally as VERSABAR, is a machining stock that replaces steel, bronze and aluminium bar in pulleys, bushings, gears, hydraulic parts and moulds. ABMT Group holds round, square and rectangular bar in Dubai and supplies machine shops and stockists across the UAE and the Gulf.
Grades
Grey iron and ductile (nodular) iron classes.
Grey iron suits moderate mechanical loads where thermal conductivity and vibration damping matter. Ductile iron adds strength, wear resistance and pressure tightness, and is the usual replacement for carbon-steel bar.

Why cast iron bar
Lower machining cost than steel bar.
- Faster machining The graphite in the iron lubricates the cut and breaks chips short; TUPY reports machining-cost reductions of 20–50% against steel bar.
- About 10% lighter A finished part weighs roughly 10% less than the same part in steel.
- Vibration and noise damping The graphite structure absorbs vibration, and the iron conducts heat well.
- Wear and compression resistance The ductile grades are also pressure-tight for hydraulic parts.
- Lead-free Suitable for turning, milling, drilling, threading, heat treatment and surface treatment.
- Sound, uniform section Continuous casting gives a dense bar without the shrinkage porosity of sand-cast blanks.
