Technical specifications

Malleable iron threaded fittings — standards, ratings and threads.

The published technical data for the TUPY fitting ranges ABMT Group supplies across the Middle East and the Gulf: the standards each range is manufactured to, working pressures against temperature, thread forms, corrosion protection and the media the fittings are intended for.

The ranges

Four ranges, four sets of paperwork.

BSP and NPT are different products, not the same fitting with a different thread cut. They are manufactured to different standards, rated differently and specified for different markets.

NPT — medium pressure

NPT Class 150 to ASME B16.3.

The American thread form, specified on oil and gas, marine and process work. Rated by temperature under ASME B16.3, with unions rated separately under ASME B16.39.

Approvals

The certificates specifiers ask for.

The lines carry UL Listing, FM Approval and DVGW certification, and the manufacturer holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified by Bureau Veritas, alongside ABNT and INMETRO.

Figures on this page are the manufacturer's published technical data for the ranges we supply. Approvals are held by the manufacturer for the applicable product lines and sizes. Certificates and declarations of conformity are issued with each shipment. Confirm the rating for your exact size, class and service against the current datasheet before specifying — we will send it on request.
